The Question That Never Left Me

Thank you for taking the time to explore Locy Ventures.

Whether we've worked together, met at a conference, crossed paths somewhere along the way, or this is our first introduction, I'm grateful you're here.

For more than three decades, I've had the privilege of working alongside many outstanding professionals. During that time, our industry transformed the enrollment experience through better technology, better communication, and more sophisticated decision support.

Yet one question quietly followed me throughout my career. What happens after enrollment?

Not after the benefit election...After the accident...After the diagnosis...After the emergency room visit.

When employees experience the very events these benefits were designed to protect against, did the benefit actually provide the financial protection they expected?

For years, our industry has measured participation, premium, loss ratios, clicks, email open rates, and countless other metrics. Those measurements all have value, but they never answered the question I cared about most. When someone files a claim, did the benefit actually work?

That question became the foundation for everything we're building at Locy Ventures.

Benefit Engineering™ wasn't created to sell another product or replace the people already serving this industry. It was created to help organizations make better benefit decisions before enrollment ever begins. We begin with Accident Coverage because we believe it's one of the greatest opportunities to improve employee financial protection through better decision-making.

But the vision extends much further. If this work succeeds, I hope it changes the conversation—from selecting benefits to engineering financial protection.

Thank you again for visiting. I hope our paths cross soon.

Warm regards,

John Locy
